New Astaro Security Gateway 525

New hardware increases overall performance by more than 60%

The Astaro Security Gateway 525 Rev. 3, a new, updated version of the well-established Astaro Security Gateway ASG525 and ASG525F appliances, is now readily available in all regions.
The new model has increased its gigabit ports from ten to fourteen, maximizing connection flexibility, which is especially useful in data center environments. In addition to the ten copper ports, four SPF ports are available, which can be equipped with optional copper or fiber GBICs.

The newest Intel® multi-core technology provides improved performance levels of more than 60 %, supporting the use of the complete UTM feature set for businesses up to 1,200 users. In addition, larger redundant hard disks and power supplies offer maximum reliability and availability.

Despite significant increases in flexibility and performance, the new model will be priced the same as the ASG 525 Rev. 2 and ASG 525F Rev. 2 models, which it replaces. This gives the ASG 525 Rev. 3 a very attractive price-performance ratio, making it the perfect choice for medium to large sized enterprises.
